The approach
Art at the service of the Light
The intention of all my creations is to transport the public to another paradigm, open their hearts and blend into the Divine Light.
Alexandra Banti is a French artist whose work is rooted in a spiritual quest exploring the relationship between the human being and the divine.
Through photography, drawing, painting, video and writing, she explores the different ways in which the invisible seeks to become perceptible.
Her research draws primarily on Christian and Muslim mysticism, particularly Sufism. Beyond traditions, religions, and dogmas, she is interested in what connects them: the inner experience, the quest for meaning, the presence of the divine, and the Light.
Her work does not seek to illustrate a belief, but to question what, in the spiritual experience, can be shared beyond affiliations. She draws on sacred narratives, mystical figures, symbols, and different contemplative traditions to try to reach the essence of them.
Art then becomes for her a space of research and embodiment. Through image, matter, body and light, she seeks to give a sensible form to what escapes language: a presence, an inner experience, a movement of reliance.
His works thus lie at the boundary between the visible and the invisible, the particular and the universal, the terrestrial and the divine.
Through a multifaceted approach, Alexandra Banti pursues the same research: To go beyond forms in order to approach the essence, and to seek in art a path to that Light that transcends traditions and connects beings.
